Nothing to say, yet
All is good to us, don't deserve any of his blessings, don't deserve any of his love and grace, but I am so thankful for all I've denied to appreciate the opportunity to stand in this pulpit. I don't take it lightly, I say that a lot, but I mean every word of it, and when Pop had texted me the other day and asked what I'd be prepared for tonight, I really felt a direction to go, and this afternoon I just felt different, and that's exactly right. I mean Jameson were talking about some things the other night, and he said he had questions and different things, and I had questions about things, but one thing that I try not to do is I try not to question God. When He lays something on my heart, I may not know what it's for, but He knows what it's for. He knows more than I do, so I just try to obey Him. So just a couple verses here tonight, a very premier passage of scripture, found in the book of Job chapter number 19, and I could read, I read this whole chapter, but just for the sake of time, I'm just going to pull out two verses here and try to deliver what the Lord has said in my heart, and I won't be long, I don't think I will be, but Job chapter number 19 and verse number 25, he says here, this right here is enough for me. Job said, for I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Austin was over, Brother Austin was over our house today. I did not ask who he was singing tonight, did not know that he was going to be singing, but I knew what God laid upon my heart this afternoon. Let me read that verse to you one more time, both of those. For I know my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Will you stretch your hand towards me one more time? Heavenly Father, oh how could I know God? There is a plan for tonight, I don't know what it is, I don't know why you made this on my heart, but God has a standard for you tonight. Heavenly Father, to preach your word, God I pray for the anointing and the power of the Holy Ghost to rest upon us for just a few minutes here, and I pray God hears you a little bit more as we try to move through an altar, and God if there may be somebody here today out of the sound of my voice will know exactly who you are and what you have in store for us right here today and tonight. God will give you the praise and give you all the glory. In Jesus' name we pray, the church says, Amen, Amen. And though after the skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Notice these words here in verse number 25 that Job says, he says, For I know. I will preach tonight, the Lord will help me on what I do know, what I do know. I think tonight, probably without any question, without any doubt, especially if anybody's ever read the life of Job, and I'm sure that you have, probably even as a young child you've read the life of Job. And probably tonight if you were to ask anybody in the church house or anybody that you know anything about Job or anything of the Bible, if you were to ask them, is there a character in the Bible that you would like to portray your life after? Is there somebody in the Bible that you would love for your life to be like? I'm pretty sure Job would be about as far to the bottom of the list that you could get. There ain't nobody in this school that's going to say, I want to lose my children. There's nobody in their right mind that's going to say, I want my wife to curse me and tell me to curse God. And there's nobody, amen, that's going to say in their right mind, I want boils to come upon me. I want all these things to come upon me. Amen, I'm telling you, no woman would want to say, I want my life to be like Job. Amen, but I'm telling you, when you read these words here, that Job says, he says, for I know that my Redeemer lives. And I know that after the skin worms have destroyed this body, I shall be God. Heaven and God denied that I would have a church, amen, that who would know who I'm talking about and know who I'm preaching about and know who Job is talking about here. He says, for I know that my Redeemer lives. I may not know much, but this one thing I do know, I'm thankful for the journey, I'm thankful for every mile, I'm thankful for this trip, I'm thankful what God has done for me. I may be going to the valley and I may be going to a trial that I don't understand right now. I can't see ahead of the passion, I can't see any other side of it, but I do know who's in control. I do know this one thing, it won't always be like this, it won't always be the same, but there's a God in heaven who cares, there's a God in heaven who's watching right inside me. Amen, this one thing I do know, amen, the trials and the troubles of Job, these verses, they mark a turning point, if you will, in the life and the attitude of Job. I'm not reading all of this, amen, but I'm going to tell you, if you back up just a little bit, when you read this whole chapter, I'm telling you, if you stopped, amen, at verse number 24, I'm telling you, you're going to say, my, this is terrible. Amen, when you read, when he talks about all my inward friends before me, and when they, whom I love, have turned against me, he said, my bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth. Hey, back up a little bit more, he says, my kinsfolk have failed, and my believers have forgotten me, and they that dwell in my house, if not my maids, count me for a stranger, I am an alien in their sight. I'm telling you, this, I mean, it's just gloom and doom, all you read, I'm not trying to imagine, let's just come to life, amen, but I'm telling you, when you read that, you think, my, I would not want my life to be like Job, but I'm glad to preach tonight, that Job know one thing, he knew his Redeemer, and I wouldn't have got here like him, that you would stand up and say, I know my Redeemer, I know in whom I know, in whom I serve, I may not understand it all, but this one thing I know, my Redeemer lives, and I'm going to see his face, I'm going to see his work, I'm going to see him deliver me. Yes, amen, oh yes, he begins to look beyond the here, and now to some things that are failed, amen, some things that will never change, some things that he can't rejoice in, there are some sure blessings right here tonight, that's never going to change, amen, I'm telling you, we serve one, and the Bible says he's the same, yesterday, today, and forever, I don't know tonight, what burden you brought to the church, I don't know the problem that you're facing, I don't know the tribe or the valley that you're in, amen, but I do know this one thing, there's a God in heaven, and already knows about it, there's a God in heaven that knew about it, before you ever started into the trial, there's a God in heaven, and he was working behind the scenes, though you may not see it now, and there's a God in heaven, who you're going to see one day, that's a while, but you need to understand tonight, he lives, hallelujah, and they try to put him in the grave, they try to kill him, they try to do away with him, but on the third day, he got up, he got up for you, he got up for your problems, he got up for your troubles, he got up for your trials, he got up for your sins, amen, amen, Jesus, amen, got up for you, hallelujah, amen, when life is rough, and you feel defeated, you might be here tonight, I know it's a small congregation, amen, but in this small congregation, there may be somebody here, amen, you may think, I feel defeated, amen, I feel busted, I feel like, amen, but it's all coming down, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen,
